AI Session 1: Understanding and Using AI to Find Reliable Information

In this session, participants will learn more about the types of AI apps that are available and how they differ (advantages/disadvantages). In addition, hints and tips for creating effective AI prompts will be shared.

AI Session 2: Ethical and Environmental Issues Related to AI Use

August 22, 2025, 10:00 am – 11:30 am, Hybrid (Zoom & Seminar Room at the Emeritus College, 511 Westinghouse Rd. Pendleton, SC 29670)

In this session, participants will learn more about the general privacy issues related to AI apps as well as the roles that property and ownership play when using AI tools. Additionally, environmental impacts of wider use of AI tools will be addressed.
