Martinez Wins Murray Stokely Award for Excellence in Teaching

Dr. Nicole Martinez was selected as the winner of the 2020 Murray Stokely Award for Excellence in Teaching.  The Stokley Award is given to a faculty member in the College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences who has demonstrated excellence in teaching engineering at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. 

Karanfil Selected as Associate Editor

Tanju Karanfil

Dr. Tanju Karanfil was selected to serve as an Associate Editor for the journal Water Research.  The invitation was extended to Karanfil by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Professor Eberhard Morgenroth.  With a current impact factor of 9.130, Water Research is widely regarded as one of the premier journals in the field of environmental engineering and science.

Martinez, Cates, and Carbajales-Dale Receive Promotions

For three EEES faculty members, 2020 will be a memorable year, and not just because of a global pandemic.  Drs. Nicole Martinez, Ezra Cates, and Mik Carbajales-Dale were promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.
