Summer Podcast and Discussion Series

The Office of Faculty Advancement is pleased to announce a faculty summer podcast series, using them as touch points to facilitate an informal discussion of various issues of relevance in Higher Education for faculty. The series is also aimed at bringing faculty and staff together, building community, and keeping people engaged.

What is considered in this program?

Participation in the podcast series is open to all faculty at Clemson, who will listen to six podcasts during the summer and meet via zoom. A total of six zoom meetings are tentatively scheduled, every other week during summer of 2025. We will meet for ~60 min (probably on Fridays) and share our thoughts about the material discussed in the podcast. We aim to have an invited guest in every meeting. While it would be ideal to have all members participating in all meetings, it is absolutely clear that participation is not mandatory.

What is the tentative schedule?

Dates (week of) Podcast Article Invited Guest
June 1 Stanford paper 1 Charly the Great
June 8 second paper 2 Max Allen

What podcasts have been selected?

Our team has selected a group of five podcasts, leaving the opportunity for the participating faculty to suggest/decide on the last podcast to discuss this summer.
