Clemson IE student awarded scholarship by MHEFI

Clemson University’s Department of Industrial Engineering is proud to announce that Joshua Dimon, a junior from Horseheads, New York, has been awarded the Frazier Industrial Honor Scholarship sponsored by the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI).

The $5,000 scholarship award is for the 2016-2017 academic year and is intended to promote the study of material handling, logistics and the supply chain by exposing students and educators to the industry. The scholarship aims to assist recipients to either prepare for a career in industry or in education and research, enabling recipients to inspire future generations of industry leaders.

Dimon joins a growing list of Clemson industrial engineering students that have been recognized with prestigious scholarships from MHEFI. Ahmed Hassan (PhD, 2010) was awarded a scholarship by the Rack Manufacturers Institute (RMI) in 2009-2010, Nadeepa Wickramage (PhD, 2015) was awarded the Steel King Honor Scholarship in 2013-2014, and most recently Sreenath Chalil Madathil (current PhD candidate) was awarded the Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems Honor Scholarship in 2015-2016.
