Clemson Online: Where Tech and Teaching Meet

Follow Up Friday: Canvas Help Menu

Our post on Monday highlights ways to support students with mental health challenges in online courses, which are good long-term strategies. For students needing immediate help, Clemson’s Canvas Help menu provides a direct link to crisis care provided by Student Health Services.

In the global navigation menu, the last option is for Help with the circled question mark icon. Selecting this tab opens a window that has a section for anyone in crisis.

Consider telling students that this link is easily available to them throughout the semester by including it in your course navigation instructions, reminder announcements, or general information on student support services.
