On August 27th, Hansen Wetsel, the Quality Matters Coordinator for Clemson Online, hosted Workshop Wednesday. His session was titled Ensuring Alignment in Your Canvas Course. In this workshop, Hansen focused on how to align your learning objectives with important course components.
Wetsel opened the workshop by introducing Quality Matters, its partnership with Clemson Online, and providing an overview of its significance. Then he pivoted the discussion to highlight what components are necessary for an effective online course; this included learning objectives, activities, and instructional materials. Then, the session concluded with an overview of alignment and a discussion of CQI strategies that emphasize the alignment of course design.
