We have a new policy, 2.9, Veterinary Verification and Consultation (VVC) Review. This policy supplements policy 2.6, Change to Animal Activities Previously Approved by the IACUC (Amendments to AUPs).
VVC is a unique way of quickly approving some changes that are allowable under the PHS policy, but there are limitations as defined by the federal oversight agency, OLAW. This policy was developed to supplement policy 2.6 by providing more specific guidance on what can be reviewed under VVC. Please consult with the University Veterinarian if you have questions about whether a proposed amendment can be reviewed via VVC.
