Naval STEM Opportunities at NAVFAC EXWC

We are excited to announce the application period for several exceptional Naval STEM programs opened on August 1,2024.  These opportunities include:

  1. Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP): SEAP places high school students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for eight weeks during the summer. See: https://www.navalsteminterns.us/seap/
  2. Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP): NREIP places college and university students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for ten weeks during the summer. See: https://www.navalsteminterns.us/nreip/
  3. Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service: SMART offers scholarships for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students pursuing a STEM degree. SMART offers two scholarship opportunities, the SMART Scholarship and the Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship. All scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense after graduation.   4. National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship: NDSEG is a competitive fellowship that is awarded to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and U.S. dual citizens who intend to pursue a Doctoral degree aligned to DoD research and development at a U.S. institution of their choice.
