Participating in the QM Cohort is an excellent way to demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness and continuous improvement. It offers a structured opportunity to enhance your course design using a nationally recognized framework, with support from certified facilitators and experienced peers. Faculty in the program will deepen their understanding of best practices in online pedagogy while working on a course they’ve already taught. By the end of the process, participants not only improve the student learning experience but also gain a QM Completion Badge, a $500 stipend, and the option to pursue Certified Peer Reviewer status and/or an official course review.

“Participating in the Quality Matters Cohort has been an enriching experience that has deepened my understanding of course design, learner engagement, and quality assurance in online education. I gained valuable insights that will shape my approach to course development for years to come.” —Ann Gillard, Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management

“I greatly appreciated the feedback I received on my course during the internal review process. My reviewers provided appropriate pushes to create a better course for students while providing resources to support me in aligning my course to QM standards.” —Jacquelyn Williams, Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership
