On July 9, Digital Learning Strategist Dr. ‘dara Abimbade led a Workshop Wednesday session titled Increasing Engagement in Your Zoom Classroom. The session explored why engagement on Zoom often falls short and offered practical strategies to improve it.

Dr. Abimbade began by identifying common challenges to Zoom engagement in online classrooms. He then introduced a range of low-pressure, real-time techniques for boosting participation, along with approaches for building long-term engagement structures. The session concluded with a discussion of tools that can make engagement more accessible for all students.

This workshop provides actionable insights to help educators enhance student participation and promote long-term success in virtual learning environments.
