
On June 12th, Sr. Learning Tech Specialist Gray Jackson led an insightful Quick Hits presentation titled Introduction to Academic Integrity Tools. This training acquainted participants with Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor for online quizzes and with using Turnitin to check for possible plagiarism in your students’ written work.
Jackson began this session by showing participants how to download and implement Responds Monitor and Lockdown Browser into Canvas. He then takes the time to discuss important settings within each program, giving viewers technical peace of mind and expertise. Then, Jackson demonstrated how to download and utilize Turnitin on Canvas. Finally, he wraps up the session by describing each of Turnitin’s plagiarism discovery tools and features.

Overall, this session provides useful information on how to effectively implement academic integrity tools into online course settings.
