Clemson Workshop on Data Science, Analytics, and Decision Making: Clemson faculty will be presenting on data science and the problems that can be solved using data analytics on Monday (1/28) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

Responsible Innovation in Genetic Sciences: Lecture: Join Fred Gould, co-director of the Genetic Engineering and Society program at North Carolina State University, Friday (2/1) from 12 to 1:45 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium for his lecture “Responsible Innovation in Genetic Sciences: Past, Present and Future.”

College of Business Tiger Prowl: Come learn how to get involved with the different College of Business student organizations today (1/22) from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Watt Center Atrium.

TIGERS ADVANCE: Town Hall Meeting: Join Provost for Academic Affairs Bob Jones and TIGERS ADVANCE this Thursday (1/24) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium to discuss the COACHE survey results. There will also be an open forum to discuss issues surrounding campus climate and job satisfaction.

TIGERS ADVANCE: Distinguished Speaker Series: Marie Vitulli, professor emerita from the University of Oregon, will be speaking Friday (1/25) from 10:10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium on “Algebra and Geometry Throughout History: A Symbiotic Relationship.” Vitulli has been recognized by the Association for Women in Mathematics as a Falconer Lecturer and was recently elected as a Fellow of the society.

CUhackit 2019: CUhackit is hosting the second installment of their 24-hour hackathon in the Watt Center, starting Saturday (1/26) at 8 a.m. and running until Sunday (1/27) at 10:10 a.m.  Students from all disciplines are welcome to attend and work together in small teams on real projects. dARTS: ATTENTION! Our deadline for the digital art contest – “dARTS” – has been extended to Wednesday, Jan. 30. Submit anything from graphic design, to 3D printing, to virtual reality – there’s a $300 prize waiting for you! Visit the dARTS website for more information.

Immersive Space

  • M-TH: 12-5 p.m.

…how easy it is to reserve a project room in the Watt Center? Simply use one of the panels located outside of each of our project rooms for a same-day reservation. If you know you will need a room more than 24 hours in advance, just call 864-656-9409 to make a reservation!

College of Business Career Fair Prep Symposium: Students from the College of Business have the opportunity to prepare this Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Watt Center Atrium for the upcoming career fair. Professionals will be on-site to review resumes and conduct mock interviews College of Business majors.

Did You Know…

…Clemson University students can become certified to use the equipment in the Student Makerspace? Once the online training is completed on the tutorial page of the Makerspace website, you’re all set to use the equipment whenever the Makerspace is open!
