The New York Times & Disability Poetics: A Conversation: Join NYT Editor Peter Catapano, Poet Khadijah Queen, and Clemson Associate Professor Jillian Weise for a discussion about selecting poems for a NYT feature on disability poetics Wednesday (2/27) from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

CollabFest Opening Keynote: Join world-renowned designer Tina Roth Eisenburg Thursday (2/28) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium for the CollabFest opening keynote “Leading with Joy.”

FoodFORWARD 2019: The inaugural Clemson University FoodFORWARD Research Symposium will bring together food researchers for campus-wide collaboration as a part of the Food Track for CollabFest. This event will be held Friday (3/1) from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Watt Family Innovation Center.

Clemson Food Summit: Learn about the “who, what, when and where” of the food you eat at Clemson Food Summit in the Watt Family Innovation Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday (3/2).

CollabFest

Did you know that CollabFest is here?! Join us this week for art, food, film, and technology! There are four full days of events across Clemson’s campus, open to students, faculty, and staff. Check out the full schedule on our website.

Did You Know…

…that the Makerspace is FREE for anyone with a valid CUID? From 3D Printers and CNC machines, to vinyl cutters and embroidery machines, the Makerspace focuses on enabling students of any major or discipline to use the space. Visit their website to view their hours.

Campus MovieFest Filmmaking week: Stop by the Watt Center on Tuesday (2/19) for the start of Campus MovieFest Filmmaking week! This is the perfect time to pick up your equipment and fill out your release forms. Come back by the Watt Center Wednesday (2/20) or Thursday (2/21) this week to put together a five minute or less film. You have the opportunity to compete for prizes and a chance to go on to “Terminus,” which is a nationwide film festival in Atlanta. Learn more here.

“Planet 9 From Outer Space” Lecture: Professor Mike Brown, best known for his discovery of Eris, the most massive object found in the solar system in 150 years, will lecture on “Planet 9 from Outer Space” in Watt Auditorium as part of the College of Science Discover Lecture Series and the TIGERS ADVANCE Distinguished Speakers Series on Thursday (2/21) from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

CollabFest

Did you know that CollabFest has four different tracks? If you are interested in food, check out the Food Track schedule. The Food Track focuses on food justice, equity and access to healthy food for all individuals.

Religion in China: The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice will host Professor Wang, an expert in religion in China, this Friday (2/15) from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

SciencePREP Seminar Series: Join Professor Mark Johnson for a discussion on “Convergence: Learning to Lead in the CU Innovation Eco-System”, this Monday (2/4) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in room 106.

TIGERS ADVANCE Distinguished Speaker Series: Lee Alan Dugatkin, Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Louisville, will be speaking this Friday (2/8) in the Watt Center Auditorium as a part of the Biological Sciences lecture series. Join us from 3:30-4:45 p.m. to learn more!

CollabFest

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Feb. 27 through Saturday, March 2, for CollabFest 2019! CollabFest is the perfect place for students, faculty, staff and partners to showcase their talent. Art, film, technology and food events will be held throughout the week, including panel discussions, art exhibits and workshops. Designer Tina Roth Eisenberg will be delivering the keynote at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 in the Watt Center. Visit the CollabFest website to view the full schedule.
