Major Discovery Night: The General Engineering Department is hosting “Major Discovery Night” Tuesday (3/26) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Watt Center Atrium. This is a great opportunity for freshman engineering students to network with Clemson University alumni. Register for the event online.

Cultivate.CAFLS Competition: The College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences will be hosting an entrepreneurial initiative competition Wednesday (3/27) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

Smash the Silos! Networking Event: Join Clemson faculty in the Watt Center Atrium from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday (3/29) for an interactive event aimed at matching researchers and potential collaborators.

Clemson Biophysics Week: Come celebrate biophysics research and communication in Watt 106 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Friday (3/29). There will be two talks given by Clemson professors and a showing of a 3D video.

Makerday6 is happening in the Watt Center Atrium from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. Join us for Clemson’s premier show-and-tell event, which features everything from 3D printing, to virtual reality, to hands-on interactive exhibits – for students, produced by students!

Bollywood Movie Night: The Brooks Center is hosting a Bollywood movie night in the Watt Center in advance of the Brook Center’s Bollywood Boulevard show on 3/25. The movie night will be held tomorrow night (3/12) from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

OSA/MRS Material and Optics Poster Session: Join us for the 14th annual Material and Optics Poster Session held by the Optical Society of America and the Materials Research Society this Thursday (3/14) from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. in the Watt Center Atrium. This is a great opportunity for graduate students and professors to network with each other and industrial leaders!

Junior Faculty Symposium (College of Science): The College of Science will be hosting 18 speakers this Friday (3/15) from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium for the Junior Faculty Symposium for the College of Science.

“Immersion” Digital Art Exhibit: Stop by the Watt Center Atrium any day this week to check out the submissions to the second annual dARTS contest. All of the entries will be on display, including the winners and honorable mentions.

Liles Distinguished Speaker Series: If you are interested in Gigatechnology, the largest engineering systems that humans create, you do not want to miss John Crittendon’s lecture today (3/4) from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

SciencePREP Seminar Series: Harolynn Williams, Director of Health Professions Advising, will give tips for landing and succeeding in professional school interviews in her lecture “Interviewing 101” today (3/4) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Watt Center Auditorium.

TEDx Clemson University: TEDxClemsonU is a structured, independent platform that brings together students, professionals, and community leaders to share ideas to put an end to a confining design of behavior by doing things in a markedly different way. Breaking the Mold strives to exploit the unexplored potential of the strong and diverse community sense in Clemson. The ideas put forward will challenge the traditional ways, test its timelessness and encourage different ways of thinking.
