ME graduate student places 2nd in AES poster competition

Rucha Natu, a PhD mechanical engineering student, placed 2nd in the poster session at the annual meeting of the AES¬†Electrophoresis Society. Her poster was titled “Numerical model of streaming dielectrophoresis for stem cell sorting” and was selected among 25 posters. She is under the advisement of Dr. Rodrigo Martinez-Duarte, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering. Also in the poster session was Josie Duncan, a junior mechanical engineering student, who has been working in Martinez-Duarte’s lab for the last five semesters. The meeting was held during November 14-16, in San Francisco, California.
