Follow Up Friday: Move Your Videos from YouTube to Kaltura

September 16, 2022

Learn why keeping your videos in Kaltura is recommended, catch up on the past week, and see what we have coming up!

From YouTube to Kaltura

The benefits of moving your video content from YouTube to Kaltura greatly outweigh the potential chore of having to download from one platform and upload to the other.

The Benefits

  1. Support – You can receive technical support to recover your media in Kaltura if anything should ever happen to your videos. Whereas on YouTube, this is not an option.
  2. Analytics – Uploading your videos to Kaltura, then embedding them in a Canvas page will give you access to see how your audience is interacting with your video content.
  3. Centralize – Keeping your videos together on this platform will streamline the organization, tracking, and editing of your content.

Clemson Online New Team Member

We would like to welcome our newest team member and Digital Learning Designer, Casey Pearce!

Casey joins the Clemson Online team to create visual media assets to be deployed in Canvas.

“I grew up near Chicago where I worked with my local Board of Education and developed a passion for education and accessibility. While pursuing my B.A. in Architecture and History at Clemson, I worked as a graphic designer with Clemson’s Creative Inquiry magazine, Decipher. In my free time, I can be found biking around campus or on the trails of the upstate, relaxing by Lake Hartwell, or finding live music events with my friends. I am pleased to continue growing as a designer while promoting education.”
