Congratulations to the first course from Clemson Cooperative Extension to gain QM Certification!
Clemson Online is proud to announce the first Clemson Cooperative Extension online course to earn Quality Matters certification. The course, Bee a Friend to Pollinators: Pollinator Education and Agricultural Literacy for Educators and Students, guides K-12 educators as they discover the critical role of pollinators and develop strategies to promote pollinator conservation in their schools and communities.
Quality Matters (QM) is the international leader for quality assurance in online course design. Bee a Friend to Pollinators earned QM certification following a rigorous review process using QM’s Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) Rubric. The course is now listed in the QM directory of certified courses.
The partnership between Clemson Online and Clemson Extension has led to the development of innovative educational programming in South Carolina and beyond. The QM certification of Bee a Friend to Pollinators demonstrates a commitment to provide quality online instruction for educators across the Southeast. The achievement is the result of the collaboration between lead course developers Amy Dabbs, M.S., Statewide School and Community Garden Coordinator at Clemson Extension, and Laura Scott, M.A., Instructional Design Manager at Clemson Online.
