Clemson Online: Where Tech and Teaching Meet

Browning Blair selected as Graduate Student Employee of the Year!

Browning Blair, Clemson Online’s graduate assistant, has been selected as one of Clemson’s Outstanding Student Employee Award recipients for 2026. She has been named Graduate Student Employee of the Year! This award reflects the positive impact she has made within Clemson Online and across the broader Clemson community. Join us in celebrating Browning for the professionalism, reliability, and leadership she consistently demonstrates!

Browning first joined the Clemson Online team in August 2023 with no prior experience in accessibility or course design. During her time with us, she has developed expertise in accessibility standards and best practices, growing from a novice into a trusted presenter and trainer and making invaluable contributions to Clemson Online even in her part-time position.

Browning’s roles have encompassed a wide range of responsibilities. She regularly leads presentations during our Canvas Accessibility Week workshops, providing in-depth instruction on PDF and PowerPoint accessibility. These presentations benefit faculty and staff across Clemson, broadening her impact beyond our immediate team. Browning has also contributed to accessibility improvements in online courses across a variety of fields, including English, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, and Data Science and Analytics.

Subsequent interns have also benefited from Browning’s expertise, as she has become the onboarding coordinator and trainer for all new student employees at Clemson Online. Future interns will also make use of the training materials Browning has created, ensuring uniform compliance with accessibility standards can continue.

Her initiative, reliability, and commitment to student success through making learning more accessible set her apart as a valuable and impactful contributor. She consistently exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding graduate student employee and has made a lasting impact on our work. At Clemson Online, we are incredibly proud of her achievements and her well-deserved recognition with this distinguished award!
