On August 16th, Learning Technology Manager David Bassett facilitated a Quick Hits session dedicated to understanding the New Quizzes feature in Canvas. The training explores the differences between the New Quizzes feature and Canvas’s classic quizzes, New Quiz settings, and how to build and manage assignments within this program.
The New Quizzes feature offers a streamlined and versatile way for instructors to create assessments with a newer, wider range of question types. Replacing the classic quiz functionality, New Quizzes are presented as assignments on a course’s assignments page and can be easily duplicated for multiple uses. For instructors looking to integrate dynamic assessments into their courses, the New Quizzes feature in Canvas should be considered.
Overall, this session provides audiences with valuable information regarding the Canvas New Quizzes feature and outlines various strategies for managing and designing assignments within this program.
