Thinking about applying for the QM cohort? Learn more about the benefits of submitting a course for review.

It may seem intimidating to submit your course for a review, but please keep in mind that QM is NOT an evaluation of you, your pedagogy, or even the learning content within your course. QM is concerned with the design of your course and learning materials only. Your review team will examine your course from a learner perspective, and offer suggestions for improving the design and presentation of your course.

  • The QM review rubric contains eight General Standards that assess quality in every aspect of an online course: learning outcomes, alignment among course and unit components, accessibility, assessments, and more. The rubric is backed by research and can apply to both fully online and blended/hybrid course modalities.
  • The QM review process is a proven way to improve your online courses, whether you are aiming for certification or doing an internal review.
  • Many principles of quality online teaching are directly transferable to face to face courses, so QM reviews can have positive impacts beyond the reviewed course.
  • You can read more at the QM website: “Why Quality Matters.”

Remember to apply for our upcoming cohort by January 30, 2023. Monday’s blog post provides all the details.
