On February 12th, Accessibility Coordinator Michelle Tuten led a Workshop Wednesday session on PDF accessibility. The presentation provided an in-depth introduction to PDF accessibility and included demonstrations of various PDF creation methods.

Tuten begins the presentation with an overview of digital accessibility. She then demonstrates how to create a PDF using InDesign, Microsoft tools, and Adobe Scan. The session concludes with a brief demonstration of basic PDF remediation techniques in Adobe Acrobat.

Overall, this session provides audiences with important information regarding digital PDF accessibility and highlights some specific ways you can start creating and remediating your own PDFs.

This training will demonstrate how to use the Simple Syllabus tool to build and publish an effective syllabus for your course. The training will also cover integrating Simple Syllabus with Canvas and the benefits of using this tool in your course.
