Clemson Online is excited to announce the completion of the very first Quality Matters review program at Clemson. A set of courses from the Department of Management have gone through the internal review process and the instructors can now request external reviews. “We are very thankful for Clemson Online’s review of our courses per Quality Matters standards. This process will not only help us in delivering high-quality courses to our students, but also help the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business in maintaining AACSB accreditation,” said Department Chair, Craig Wallace. We at Clemson Online want to thank Management faculty and Dr. Wallace for their willingness to pilot QM and for their enthusiasm at all points in this process.
We are also proud to announce that Yamil Ernesto Ruiz has joined the team as our new Quality Matters Coordinator, to ensure the entire QM process runs smoothly. Yamil is a doctoral candidate in the department of teaching & learning, currently engaging in his dissertation research study. His work explores the transformative learning experiences of science teachers which have shaped their attitudes & beliefs towards students who are learning English as a second language. Welcome, Yamil!
This all means Clemson Online is almost ready to formally launch Quality Matters course reviews for any online and hybrid courses at Clemson. Stay tuned for our launch announcement and more details later this semester.
