The Office of Digital Learning and Technology is excited to announce that three DSA courses have received Quality Matters (QM) certifications! These courses are:
DSA/MGT 8280: Analytics Bootcamp taught by Associate Professor John Tripp
DSA 8660: Data Management and Warehousing taught by Associate Professor He Li
DSA 8010: Statistical Methods I taught by Associate Professor Deborah Kunkel
These courses underwent a vigorous review process, guided by the ODLT team. QM-reviewed courses are expected to meet expectations involving learning objectives, assessments, instructional materials, and accessibility.
Analytics Bootcamp DSA/MGT 8280 was reviewed internally by Millie Tullis and Dara Abimbade. Regarding the QM process, Associate Professor John Tripp said,
“I found this to be a very enlightening experience that showed me some blind spots in my thinking regarding providing online instruction.”
Data Management and Warehousing DSA 8660 was reviewed internally by Dara Abimbade and Leslie Fuller. About his experience going through the QM review, Associate Professor He Li said,
“The QM review process has been very developmental. The suggestions are constructive and helpful in enhancing the course presentation and student learning experience.”
Statistical Methods I DSA 8010 was reviewed internally by Millie Tullis and Sharyn Emery. Regarding the experience, Associate Professor Deborah Kunkel stated,
“Millie and Sharyn provided thoughtful feedback and valuable guidance throughout the process, and I am confident that the improvements to my course will benefit future DSA students.”
