The Erwin Center for Brand Communications Announces Katie Driggs as the Newest Practitioner to Teach Media Planning and Buying Strategies Course

The Erwin Center for Brand Communications is excited to announce the addition of a new practitioner who will teach our Media Planning & Buying Strategies course (GC 3730). Katie Driggs is currently the Director of Media at FerebeeLane in Greenville, SC, leading media strategy and execution on widely-recognized brands like Spinx, Biltmore, and Le Creuset. Prior to joining FerebeeLane, Katie’s experience included developing and executing plans for national and local brands like TUMI, Greenville Drive, Planet Fitness and Verizon Wireless.

The Media Planning and Buying Strategies course (GC 3730) will focus on providing students with strategic tools to target, plan and activate media plans, and will include instruction on media tactics like paid search and paid social media, as well as reporting and optimization strategies.

Students will go through the process of obtaining a Google AdWords certification, and will put together recommendations for a real brand’s media plan. Each team will present their plans and include a measurement program to demonstrate success against key growth metrics.
