2026 New Instructor Conference

Join us at Clemson Online for the 2026 edition of the New Instructor Conference! This year’s New Instructor Conference will be held on Thursday, August 13th. This conference is designed for new instructors with no Canvas experience and a mild level of Canvas experience. However, the conference is also open to any instructors who are looking for a refresh on Canvas related areas.

New Instructor Conference

There are two tracks for you to choose from: in-person morning sessions will be held in Cooper Library, and afternoon sessions will take place via Zoom. URLs for the Zoom sessions and specific location information will be sent upon registration.

When registering, please indicate whether you intend to attend the in-person/am or Zoom/pm track. The in-person/am track is ideal for those new to teaching in Canvas, covering Canvas basics and offering 1:1 support with open workshops. The Zoom/pm track is ideal for faculty with some Canvas experience; in addition to offering Canvas basics, the Zoom/pm track will offer sessions on more specialized topics and teaching tools.

You can find the schedule for both the in-person and virtual block here!
