Clemson Online exists to support the university in its various goals. We offer many supporting services to faculty and Cooperative Extension Agents. We collaborate closely with our partners to better serve everyone at Clemson University who utilizes online teaching technology. This week in the blog and on our social media we will be highlighting the teams within Clemson Online so that you can get to know us and better understand how we can support you!

Directorship

Clemson Online is led by director, Matt Briggs. He supports our teams by maintaining continual contact with Senior Associate Provost, Dr. John Griffin, disseminating operations information with the department, and coordinating with our associate directors and the business management team to evaluate and execute Clemson Online’s goals.

Business Management and Office Management

Angela “Angee” Pearson is Clemson Online’s business manager. Angee works behind the scenes to ensure that our teams are aware of university policy updates, that our office is in compliance, and she manages financial concerns for the department. Angee is supported by our Office Manager, Anolyn Watkins, who manages the day-to-day operations to keep our department functioning well.

Online Development

Led by Associate Director, Lori Kinley, the Online Development team supports the online instruction pedagogy of all Clemson University instructors who teach online. The Online Development team deploys a variety of services to support 29 online for-credit programs, over 60 non-credit Cooperative Extension and other non-credit courses, Grad 360°, and others. Those services include online pedagogy consultations, course and instructional design, Quality Matters (QM) course reviews, live faculty development training, video production services, and social media promotion. Schedule a consultation for these services and more, to enhance your online instruction!

Learning Technology

Led by Associate Director, Anne Marie Rogers, the Learning Tech team supports online instruction through the administration, evaluation, maintenance, and demonstration of learning technology tools. In addition, the Learning Tech team frequently coordinates with CCIT, and other university stakeholders, on the maintenance and deployment of learning technology tools. As well as evaluating those tools for compatibility with Clemson University interests such as providing accessibility for all learners. Schedule a consultation on how to use these tools to enhance your online instruction!

Analytics

Led by Associate Director, Allan “Al” DeToma, the Analytics team supports Clemson Online behind the scenes with insightful analysis of online interaction, website traffic, and coordination with future Cooperative Extension Agents. The Analytics team serves Clemson Online by helping us identify trends within the online Clemson community so that as a department we can be well informed on how to meet the needs of Clemson University.
