Student Research Summit: Join the NSF-based program NRT RIES (Resilient Infrastructure and Environmental Systems) for their fall 2019 Student Research Summit, hosted today (10/28) in the Watt Center Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect student presentations on research, poster sessions and three-minute theses talks.

SciencePREP Seminar: The College of Science is back with another SciencePREP speaker tonight (10/28) at 5:30 p.m. in Watt Center 106. Ralph Rynes, a retired neurologist and infectious diseases physician, will be speaking about “Reducing Stigma to Increase Retention in Healthcare”. He volunteers with Doctors Without Borders, both in the field and at the world headquarters office in Geneva.

Clemson Teaching Excellence Conference: The second annual OTEI Clemson Teaching Excellence Conference returns to the Watt Center Friday (11/1), with nationally-recognized speaker Dr. Regan Gurung, evidence-based teaching workshops, open-floor demonstrations and networking, and more. Attendees can register for the conference online.

Did You Know…

…we hired a new Associate Director? His name is Dr. Mark Krystofik and he joins the Watt Center team from the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at the Rochester Institute for Technology. Learn more on Clemson Newsstand about Dr. Krystofik and his new job at the Watt Center.
