News 13 Investigates: Are cities ready for invisible drivers?

Clemson University researchers are looking to use autonomous driving, swarm, and other technologies to reduce the amount of time drivers spend waiting at red lights. Ardlan Vahidi, an associate professor of mechanical engineering; and Ali Fayazi, a PhD mechanical engineering student, are the researchers working on the project.
