Assistant Professor Mohammed Daqaq received a grant to further his research in micro-power generators. The project entitled “Magnetostrictive Vibration Energy Harvester (MAVEN),” was awarded from Impact Technologies LLC through the Office of Navel Research (STTR). The object of this award is to model and design a micro-power generator to harness energy from the vibrations in a ship hull.
