Over the years ME4010 students have been building educational machines to help bring an interest in engineering to elementary students. In fact they, have delivered 25 wind tunnels and 20 manufacturing systems. On April 24th, 2015 ME students from ME4010 and ASME gave engineering demonstrations to elementary students during the Engineering Expo. ME senior, Justin Showghi, is one of the lead engineers on this project. The team’s goal is to send the blankets to Tanzania, to be used in medical centers to improve warming methods for newborns. To scale up their operation and achieve this goal, they started a crowd-founding campaign to raise money.
