Jacki Rohde, an undergraduate researcher in the Benson group in ESED, has been awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF). This prestigious program was especially competitive this year; receiving the GRF is an impressive accomplishment. Jacki is a senior majoring in Bioengineering and minoring in Psychology. Her research in engineering education is focused on engineering identity. The project she works on with Lisa Benson examines how attitudes and beliefs affect students’ experiences in engineering. She also has worked with Dr. Allison Godwin (ESED graduate) at Purdue in studying the interplay of diversity and team experiences. Jacki has been accepted into the School of Engineering Education at Purdue and will be attending graduate school there in Fall 2017.
Congratulations and all the best in the future, Jacki!
