Dr. Staci Johnson, December ESED graduate, was selected to join the Exploring Universal Design for Learning with BIOMAAP Faculty Mentoring Network beginning in January 2020. This network is a partnership between BIOMAAP (Biology Student Math Attitudes and Anxiety Project), BioQUEST and the Quantitative Biology Education and Synthesis (QUBES) Project. Staci will be collaborating with other biology education researchers and instructors to create and improve instructional materials that address math attitudes and anxiety by implementing BIOMAAP materials in the classes she teaches as an Associate Professor of Biology at Southern Wesleyan University. She was advised by Dr. Eliza Gallagher.
