Staci Johnson and Dennis Lee, ESED PhD candidates, attended the 2019 Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) in Minneapolis, MN, in July 2019. Staci received a DBER-Scholars in Training Travel Grant, one of only ten awarded. She was congratulated by Mary Pat Wenderoth, President of SABER and one of the founders of SABER in 2010. Both Dennis and Staci presented posters of their research results. Dennis presented “An Epistemic Perspective on Student Argumentation in a CURE” with co-authors Cazembe Kennedy, Jason Tedstone, Dylan Dittrich-Reed, and Lisa Benson. Staci presented “Item Issues with the Revised Study Process Questionnaire in Undergraduate Anatomy & Physiology Students” with co-author Eliza Gallagher.
