Molly Jones, Area Water Resources Agent, joined the Natural Resources Team on January 2, 2025, after serving on the 4-H and Youth Development Team from January 2020- January 2025. Molly’s coverage area includes Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Colleton, Dorchester, Edgefield, Hampton, and Jasper Counties, assisting in agricultural and recreational water education. She possesses a strong background in natural resources education and a bachelor’s degree in marine science from Coastal Carolina University with an emphasis in ecology and biology. Molly will work closely with the Water Resources Team to serve the listed county communities.
The Clemson Cooperative Extension Water Resources Team consists of Extension Specialists, Associates, and Agents from around the state working together to address water quantity and quality issues in South Carolina and beyond. The Water Resources Extension Team provides research-based information in the form of community outreach and education, public involvement opportunities, and in-depth training and workshops to the citizens of South Carolina. The common goal of this diverse array of services is to foster stewardship and sustainable management of water resources for current and future generations.
The Area Water Resources Team consists of 4 Area Water Resource Agents covering regions within the state. These four agents work closely together to provide services, training, workshops, and site visits for constituents. Programs such as the Center Pivot Irrigation Test, Be Well Informed, Septic Tank Management, Stream Bank Repair, and Master Pond Manager are offered. Area Water Resources Agents can assist in recreational pond maintenance/health education, livestock water education, irrigation system efficiency education, and landowner agricultural water-related education.
