South Carolina’s 4‑H program recently celebrated a significant milestone: the 20th annual Wild at Webb Camp, held June 10–14, 2025, at the SCDNR Webb Wildlife Center in Garnett, SC. This flagship event brings together youth ages 10–13 from across the state for an immersive week of hands-on education in shooting sports, natural resources, and leadership development.
This year’s edition featured certified instructors from Clemson University Cooperative Extension and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. Campers participated in shotgun, rifle, pistol, muzzleloader, and archery sessions alongside lessons in wildlife conservation, fisheries, forestry, boater safety, trapping, as well as field trips to Waddell Mariculture Center and Port Royal Sound Foundation.
Since its first session in 2006, the camp has continued to blend outdoor adventure with essential life skills like responsibility, teamwork, and leadership, which are core to the 4-H mission.
This camp has helped youth build unforgettable memories for two decades while learning about wildlife management, shooting sports, hunter safety, natural resources, and more. Wild at Webb has made a lasting impact, from mastering life skills to forming lifelong friendships, and the adventure is far from over. Please help us ensure the next generation gets to experience the magic.
