Hampton County 4-H Places Little Library in McMillan Park

Dawn Stuckey, 4-H Agent

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Hampton County 4-H Club would like to announce the placement of an Agriculture focused Little Library in McMillan Park. The club wants to increase awareness of agriculture and its associated careers. The youth conducted a fundraiser where funds were used to purchase the Little Library box and books to place inside. The club hopes children and families visiting the park will enjoy reading under the trees near the box or while enjoying a snack under the picnic shelter. The club would like to invite the community to visit the “Book Box” and learn how Agriculture provides the food we eat and the fiber we wear. A unique “Thank You” to our Hampton Agronomic Agent, Rogan Gibson, for helping install the box for the club.

To support the Hampton County 4-H Club through funds or book donations, please get in touch with Dawn Stuckey, 4-H Agent, or visit the Hampton County Clemson Extension Office at 12 Walnut St. E. in Hampton. We will happily accept any books in good condition and reflect agriculture, animals, farming, farm machinery and tools, food, or raising animals. We also have an Amazon wish list for those who wish to donate and ship to the Extension Office. You can access the Hampton County 4-H Book Box Project list by visiting https://a.co/2h7LMRT.
