South Carolina National 4-H Congress Award

Molly Jones, 4-H Youth Development Agent – Dorchester County

National 4-H Award Winner

Miss Macie Thomas of Dorchester County was awarded two outstanding awards in South Carolina 4-H at the South Carolina 4-H Congress Awards Banquet on July 8, 2022. Macie earned the National 4-H Congress Award, this trip (and small educational scholarship) is awarded to Senior 4-H members with outstanding achievement in their 4-H projects and activities. Selection is based upon the overall highest score for their 4-H Portfolio. She also earned the National 4-H Conference Award, this trip (and an educational scholarship) is awarded to four Senior 4-H members with outstanding achievement in leadership and citizenship. Selection is based upon a 4-H portfolio and a panel interview. Macie is an exemplary member of South Carolina 4-H. Due to her participation and leadership in the South Carolina 4-H Teen Council, she was elected Vice President of the council for the upcoming 2022-2023 4-H year. Congratulations Macie!
