Catching up with the Clover!

By Dawn Stuckey, County 4-H Agent

Colleton County 4-H Clubs are back and off to a great start. This year we have brought back two additional clubs, Palmetto Pony 4-H Club and Blue Ribbon Riders 4-H Club. These clubs will focus on horsemanship and horse care. The Colleton County 4-H Club started meeting in September, and members chose what topics they want to focus on this year. The clear winner was livestock! We are also working hard to prepare our livestock projects to show at the fair.

In addition to our clubs, 4-H offers a variety of school enrichment and after-school programs. Cottageville Elementary is participating in our Healthy Lifestyles program as part of its Boeing/MUSC Wellness program. If you are interested in learning more about 4-H opportunities in Colleton County, please contact Dawn Stuckey at dstucke@clemson.edu.
