Bamberg County 4-H was represented at the Orangeburg County Fair and South Carolina State Fair Livestock Shows. Alayna Weilnau, a Senior 4-H’er member, won Grand Champion Showman in the 4-H Rabbit Show at the Orangeburg County Fair. Breanna Carroll won First Place Junior Showman.
Lawson Weilnau won Grand Champion Hog and Reserve Grand Champion Hog at the Orangeburg County Fair Junior Market Hog Show. Alayna was Overall Senior Winner, and Lawson was the Reserve Overall Senior Winner. Paige Ulmer was the Overall Junior Winner, and Reace Hutto was the Reserve Overall. The Overall Winner’s scores are combined showmanship results and project book interview scores.
Alayna Weilnau won the SC Pork Board Scholarship and Junior Swine President’s Choice Award at the SC State Fair Junior Market Hog Show. Paige Ulmer won 1st in Junior Final Placings. Reace Hutto placed 2nd in Junior Showmanship, Sadie Hutto paced 2nd in Novice Showmanship, and Levi Avant placed 3rd. Lawson Weilnau placed 1st & 3rd in market class 202-216 pounds.
