HD Supermarket Donates Broccoli Plants for Colleton County School Gardens

Colleton County Schools have participated in the SC School Gardens Program for several years. This year, 4-H had the opportunity to work with local merchants to provide the plants for the first fall planting. When 4-H Agent, Dawn Stuckey reached out to H & D Supermarket they were ready to assist. Mrs. Idella Robertson, owner of H & D Supermarket in Walterboro donated 16 packs of plants to 4-H to share with the schools. These plants will be planted and harvested by students in the schools and used to teach students where their food comes from. Colleton County 4-H wished to thank Mrs. Roberson and the staff at H & D Supermarket for their generosity.

If you or your business are interested in helping 4-H contact Dawn Stuckey, 4-H Youth Development Agent at dstucke@clemson.edu or call 843-549-2595.
