Colleton County 4-H Club Uses Their Hands To Larger Service

When Colleton County 4-H Club members chose a service project for 2020 little did they know that COVID would alter their plans. Youth in the club donated items to create “Welcome” boxes for new babies and moms who needed a little love and assistance. Each member gathered items like outfits, socks, hats, pacifiers, and toys to add to the blankets the youth made during club meetings. When able to receive donations, Mrs. Pinckney from DHEC gladly accepted them. The care packets will be shared with needy families during wellness home visits by DHEC staff.

Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer.
