Beef Marketing Seminar – March 28 in Orangeburg

Cool Season Demo Plot – Allendale at JCO Farms, April 13, 10:00 am-Noon
Dr. Silva will discuss the excellent season plot, and Hillary Pope and I will go over sprayer calibration. If you’d like to join us, we don’t require registration since the event is free, but we’d appreciate a head count for light refreshments.
Climate Smart Grant – Sign up BY April 17 for Beef Forages
The below link is a sign-up for interest meetings. You must put in a separate interest form if you still want to participate after you attend the meetings, and you don’t need to attend the meeting to do the interest form, but it will help you understand what would be required of you. Please note that just because you sign up as interested does not mean you are automatically put on the list for any money, and it also means you don’t have to commit, so if you have ANY potential interest, get signed up. There are also peanuts and other commodities, so make use of it if you can and if it makes sense for your operation.
Orangeburg Cattlemen’s Meeting – April 20, 7:00 pm at the Fairgrounds
We’re doing a catered meal, and formal invitations will be sent soon. Meherrin will be our sponsor. We will watch a video from Jason Banta, Ph.D., Beef Cattle Specialist from Texas A&M. He will go over Body Condition Scoring and be available for questions after the presentation even though he will not be there in person.
