Meet Our New Associate Director of Ag Education!

Mindy Sandifer, Barnwell County Associate Director of Ag Education

Mindy Sandifer recently joined our Barnwell County Extension Office serving South Carolina Agricultural Education as their Associate Director. Sandifer will serve 130 middle and high school agricultural programs as well as supervise the SC FFA Camping Center in Cherry Grove. She is a native of Powdersville, SC.  She and her husband, Jeff Sandifer, have resided in Hilda, SC for 23 years with their two beautiful children – Weston (sophomore at Clemson) and Rilee (freshman at Barnwell High School). The Sandifer family is a 4th generation farming family growing cotton, corn, peanuts, wheat, beef cattle, and poultry.  Mindy Sandifer finished her B.S. in Agricultural Education in 2000 and a M.S. in Agricultural Education in 2003 both from Clemson University.  Sandifer has 22 years of high school agricultural teaching experience with 21 of those years serving over 1000 of our local Barnwell County youth in leadership and agriculture at the Barnwell County Career Center.
