Post-Construction BMP Inspector Certification Course

Clemson Cooperative Extension would like to announce registration is now OPEN for our spring 2026 certification and re-certification courses! Registration deadline is Sunday, March 8 for certification and Sunday, March 15 for re-certification.

The purpose of Post-Construction BMP ( Best Management Practices) Inspector program is to train professionals in methods and strategies for conducting routine and thorough inspections of stormwater management practices. This program is offered as a five-week “hybrid” course combines online and face-to-face learning that incorporates self-paced lectures, discussions, quizzes, and other web-based methods of participant-instructor interaction, along with in-person participation in field day activities.

Areas covered in this program include the technical elements of function and performance, and scheduled maintenance tasks required to ensure installed stormwater BMPs are working properly.
