Dorchester County 4-H Agent
We’re excited to welcome Tawanah Reeves-Ligon to the Clemson Extension family as the newest Dorchester County 4-H Youth Development Agent.
An Atlanta native, Mrs. Ligon fell in love with the Lowcountry as a teenager while attending a wedding. She would eventually move here and marry the love of her life, Robert Ligon of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. They live and serve happily in Dorchester County with their dog, Talia.

Mrs. Ligon comes to us from an extensive youth and leadership development career and a passion for civic and community engagement. A former 4-H participant and youth Girl Scout, she earned her bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University. She studied Journalism and Communications at the University of Central Florida and Northwest Florida State College.
Her diverse professional background includes teaching, entrepreneurship (as the former owner and founder of a Lowcountry tutoring and mentorship program and founder of a writing and editing service), and program development. Most recently, she was honored to serve as a Leadership Development Manager at Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
Mrs. Ligon is excited to join the team and be a part of “making the best better” in Dorchester County! Her office is located in St. George. She can be reached at tawanar@clemson.edu or 864-784-0516.
