The 4-H2O Camp hosted by Clemson University Cooperative Extension in Charleston County enjoyed another successful year! This program is designed for youth aged 9-12, the camp offers an immersive exploration of the outdoor world and local watersheds. Each day, participants engage in scientific lessons, hands-on water quality testing, and a variety of exciting activities such as canoeing, boat tours, swamp ecology studies, and more.
This year, eight enthusiastic students participated, diving into Charleston’s water quality with visits to remarkable local sites including Bear’s Bluff Fish Hatchery, Barrier Island Eco Tours, and the Mount Pleasant Water Works facility. The camp not only educates but also inspires a direct connection to the natural environment we all live in.
