Hillary Pope – County Agent -Allendale County

Hillary Pope is the County Agent for Allendale County. She has been with Clemson Extension for almost a year.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Diversified Agriculture with a Livestock Production concentration from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She also attended Western Kentucky University, where she received a Master of Science in Agriculture. Hillary has a strong background in beef and dairy production. She has worked on several different dairies in their calf and replacement heifer programs. Hillary was also very active in 4-H and FFA, competing in various projects at local, state, and national levels.

With Hillary’s strong background in livestock production and agriculture, she is a part of the Livestock and Forages program team at Clemson Extension.

As part of Clemson Extension, Hillary helps Allendale County residents with any questions about agriculture, natural resources, home gardens and connecting them with suitable agents as needed. She also assists with 4-H activities and programs for Allendale County.

Hillary’s favorite part of working with extension is helping people with questions they have and helping youth with their livestock projects.

Hillary’s most memorable experiences as an extension agent provided a live stream featuring an embryology program on YouTube. Youth were able to watch eggs in an incubator and learn embryo development from note cards updated daily.
