Abigail Atwater

Name: Abigail Atwater

Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina

Major: Nursing

Favorite place for lunch on campus: Sully’s Steamers – I get the pizza bagel every time!

Favorite spot on campus: The amphitheater – especially when it’s sunny

Favorite question on a tour: “What’s the best residence hall on campus” – I am totally biased, but it’s for sure Manning Hall!  I lived there my freshman year and it became a home away from home. I met some of my best friends there and some of my most favorite Clemson memories on the 3rd floor!

Clubs and Organizations you are involved in: Tri Delta sorority, Clemson Miracle, Student Nurses Association, FCA and RUF, Intramural Sports and the Clemson University Guide Association

Hobbies: I really enjoy baking, watching movies, volleyball and hanging out with friends and family!

Advice for jumping into college life: I would say step out of your comfort zone! I know that the transition from high school to college can be scary, but I promise, everyone feels the same way you do.  So, get involved with some new things, and meet as many people as you can when you get to campus. College is an amazing experience, and you only get one go at it, so make the most of it!

Advice on how to choose a college: My biggest piece of advice would be to trust your gut. You know yourself better than anyone else does, so don’t let other people’s opinions sway your decision. Take your time and ask questions when you are touring colleges; but at the end of the day, pick the college that feels like home to you!

Fun fact about yourself: I can sing with my mouth closed!
